Silicon Power LuxMini 920 series of USB flash drives now with 64GB

Silicon Power a Taiwan-based company has released is upgrading its LuxMini 920 series of USB flash drives by adding on the 64GB version. It is covered with silver chequered pattern and featuring a scratch and fingerprint proof enclosure, a USB 1.1/2.0 connection interface and the read and write speeds of up to 30MB/s and 20MB/s respectively. The drive is equipped with the Error Correcting Code (ECC) functionality and Wear Leveling technology, to give more protection to your data and extend its lifespan. Pricing and availability are not available at this moment.

Buffalo is going to release the world’s first USB 3.0 external hard drive later this month which looks a bit like the Xbox 360. It is available in 1TB, 1.5TB and 2TB storage. If you computer does not have the USB 3.0 port youo can use the NEC IFC-PCIE2U3 2-port PCI Expressx1 host controller that is included in the package. The 1TB and 1.5TB will be available at $225 and $284, respectively.
