LG Electronics has launched a new smartphone called ‘LG GW550′ in twenty countries starting in Brazil and Argentina. It is running on Windows Mobile 6.5 OS and comes with 12mm-thick 2.4-inch LCD screen, 3.2M camera, Wi-Fi support, A-GPS, high-performance dual-speaker and front-facing QWERTY keyboard. It also has the ‘Smart E-mail’ and ‘Smart Contact’ functions. The LG GW550 is a phone targetting on businessman.

Nokia has announced the Nokia 6788 specifically designed for China Mobile’s network. It is the first device for TD-SCDMA – China’s domestic 3G standard. It comes with 5-megapixel (2592 x1944) camera with a dual-LED flash, a 2.8″ QVGA display, and the Symbian S60 platform. The phone is expected to be available at the end of December 2009. Read more…
