Evoke Portable Creative Studio

Sari Maani designed Evoke Portable Creative Studio. This device combines all basic requirements such as wireless internet access, speakers, and sound card. While the touch screen allows application of different software that mimic complex and usually expensive hardware such as keyboards, Synthesizers and other instruments creating an affordable alternative.

Intellect Faucet

Designer Jon Pugh designed out a device called Intellect has the capabilities to dispense two streams of water (filtered and non-filtered) simultaneously. The device splits in two and allows the user to slide either the filtered or non-filtered faucet to either side of the sink for multiple activities. Besides that it also dispenses measured amounts of water directly from the point of use.

Design : Haze LED Luminaire

Industrial Micro Systems (IMS), a Swiss company, won an award in the “Lights of the Future” design competition at the Light+Building trade fair held in Frankfurt, Germany, which singles out energy-saving luminaires and energy-efficient lighting systems distinguished by extraordinary design. The Haze Luminaire contains rows of different-colored LEDs under its circular top section, allowing the stem to be illuminated with various shades.

Geco Design: Combating Child Obesity

At the first look before reading what it is, we thought it is some sort of high-tech machine but to our disappointment, its only a design concept by Ian Spring. This product is to encourage children to exercise more. This flexible kid’s vehicle for ages 9-12 allows kids to safely cut glass using a new modular cutting system. It can be transformed from a sit-up pedal powered vehicle to a low slung sports recumbent racer.

Design : BlackBook Laptop by Jaren Goh

We have to say this notebook design is just un-reject-able. This high-style, low-fuss design screams luxury and is sure to make techno-factionists weak in the knees. The indented tiled keypad flows seamlessly into the main body while a TFT screen on the topside replaces a physical logo and allows for graphic customization. The omnipresent gloss factor and chrome-clad edges are impossible to go unnoticed. Pictures after the jump.

Coolest Job Advertisement

Sometimes you just wish someone would be there anytime anywhere! Check out this awesome print campaign for the german job site ‘Jobsintown.de’. It’s a big ad printed on the side of different vending machines, making it look like somebody actually is sitting inside and delivering money, taking photos and making coffee. Brilliant! The $220k Cabestan Watch

That is not an antique watch and not any normal watch which can be found in the night market. Two legendary watchmakers have joined forces to create one of the coolest-looking — and most expensive — watches weve seen. Jean-François Ruchonnet and Vianney Halter made the Cabestan to look unlike any other watch on Earth. Its innards are vertical, with the numbers appearing on the cylinders themselves rather than on a face.
