Ricoh GXR Camera goes official. It is an interchangeable unit camera system featuring the world’s smallest and lightest digital camera with the ability to change lenses. It has an interchangeable slide mount ‘lens units’ – sealed modules containing both optics and sensor which means you can switch from that big (APS-C) 12 MP CMOS with a fast prime lens to a tiny 10 MP CCD (with a 24-70mm lens).It also has a die-cast magnesium body, 3-inch LCD, 86 MB built-in memory and SD/SDHC memory cards slot. Michael Bosanko is a professional photographer in light painting photography. Bosanko said that he got the inspiration to make light graffiti during the holidays in Greece about five years ago.

Michael Bosanko: The work I carry out involves using torches; I use many kinds: standard household torches, penlights, LED torches, LED Strips, florescent bulbs, flashing lights, flash-lights … anything from very dim, to ultra-bright … anything goes, depending on what I set out to achieve.

I set one golden rule; absolutely NO photo editing … everything I do is captured in one Exposure. On rare occasions I will crop an image, or a slight color correction, but these are few and far between, which means composition, correct color and light, APERTURE, SHUTTER speed, ISO, the complete works all take place in-camera. By doing all this, my work becomes 100% authentic … in other words, what you see is what you get. I do not use wires or rigs of any kind … I create everything is done freestyle … I find the organic process, mesmerizing, magical …

Canon has announced two new IXUS cameras and three new compact PowerShot cameras in Korea. They the IXUS ‘200IS’ and ‘120IS’ and PowerShot ‘G11′, ‘S90′ and ‘SX20IS’. They will be available by the end of August.

The IXUS 200 IS comes with 24mm ultra wide-angle 5x zoom lens with a 3 inch PureColor II Touch display. It has 12.1 Megapixel sensor and DIGIC 4 – Canon’s fast, intelligent image processor – for superb image quality and natural color reproduction. Other features included an impressive wide 3.0 inch PureColor II Touch display and Active Display that allows you to flick through images and start/stop movies by simply moving and tilting the camera.

The IXUS 120 IS claimed to the slimmest wide-angle Digital IXUS ever. This slim camera manage to fit in an impressive wide angle (28mm) 4x optical zoom lens, 12.1 Megapixel resolution, DIGIC 4 processor and a 2.7 inch PureColor LCD II – Bright and clear, the screen can be viewed at multiple angles and it is also resistant to fingerprints and scratches.
