Google has has launched an event to preview its upcoming Chrome OS. It is a new operating system based on Linux and the Chrome browser.

“The entire system is web-based and runs in the Chrome browser — right down to USB drive contents, which show up in a browser tab, and the notepad, which actually creates a Google Docs document. Web apps are launched from a persistent apps panel, which includes Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, and Hulu, among others, and background apps like Google Talk can be minimized to “panels” that dock to the bottom of the screen.”

It is still in early stage, not even in beta yet. Check out the videos after the break.

The Spica speaker is designed by Yuki Yamamoto. You can call this an audio verison of lave lamp that merges music, light and water creating that dazzling effect. Instead of hearing, this speaker allows you to watch your music. It is still under concept at the moment. More pictures after the break.

This Shake N Wake Alarm Clock is a wearable alarm clock that is going to wake you up by shaking and vibrating. Just strap it on your wrist or place under your pillow before you go to sleep. The alarm clock also features an optional beep alarm so you can use it as a normal alarm clock. It also has a backlit LED display so you can check the time when you are in the dark. The Shake N Wake Alarm Clock will cost you around $25. I think they need a better pic.

Let’s take a look at what’s inside a Twitter office. Wow… there’s a full-featured kitchen, live DJ, wallpaper of birds, living room etc. It is the Twitter Office 3.0 in San Franciso. Photo by Dustin Diaz. Check it out after the break.
