Google has has launched an event to preview its upcoming Chrome OS. It is a new operating system based on Linux and the Chrome browser.

“The entire system is web-based and runs in the Chrome browser — right down to USB drive contents, which show up in a browser tab, and the notepad, which actually creates a Google Docs document. Web apps are launched from a persistent apps panel, which includes Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, and Hulu, among others, and background apps like Google Talk can be minimized to “panels” that dock to the bottom of the screen.”

It comes with 3.4-inch full wide ASV LCD of main display and a 1.4-inch OLED sub display, 12.1MP camera with various camera functions, 1-Seg support, global roaming service, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity, microSDHC card slot for up to 16GB and more. It measures 51×111×16mm at 130g, with 340 hours of standby time, 200 hours of talking time and 4.5 hours of 1-Seg playing time. Choose from Fuchsia Pink, Luminus Blue, Precious Gold, White and Black.
