Underwater David Blaine Record Breaking Failed

Magician David Blaine failed to break the world record for holding his breath underwater on Monday which suppose to be eight minutes and 58 seconds. His failing nearly two minutes short of the record. Before that, he lived in the 8-foot sphere water-filled for a week which is nearly 177 hours.

OPENSTEP on Thinkpad 755C

Running Mac OS X on Intel is so 3 months ago, Brian is running OPENSTEP on a Thinkpad 755C – “No major trickery to get this to work… just installed a SCSI CD-ROM drive into the ThinkPad Dock and did the install. I do have to pass the “rootdev=hd0a” arg when I boot up, though.” – Check out the flickr photo here.

Power Tool Drag Race

There will be a “Power Tool Drag Race” going on this coming Sunday which will be tomorrow in San Francisco. We are waiting for the video to be taken either by the MAKE team or any local citizens. Pink Teddy Bear Gun

This ‘gun’ shoots the teddy bear up in the air (or wherever you point the gun) and the teddy bear comes down in a parachute. Its now widely use in Japan during wedding day. Seems like its quite a good change rather than throwing bouquet on wedding day. Not sure how much does it cost but im sure girls love it!

Kick It! : 3M Security Glass

3M was so sure that their Security Glass was unbreakable. They put up stacks of money in it and fitted the thing at the bus stop and ask every passerby to kick that thing. Why we never thought on this impressive advertisement? They did allocate a security guard to ensure no one breaks the rules.
