Is video-enabled iPod as a music player good enough for you? Check out this iPod speaker system, Tivoli’s iYiYi speaker dock. This device adds “two 3-inch full-range drivers, a digital AM/FM radio, built-in alarm/digital clock, remote control, blue backlit LCD display, and Radio Data System (RDS) support” for the ultimate listening experience. It comes in black or white colors and will be available this Fall — priced at $300.

Mvix MV-5000U the living room entertainment solution

iPod looks into the Mvix MV-5000U home-based media player as a solution for simple living room entertainment. It supports all major codecs including MPEG 1/2/4, AVI, DivX XVID, DVD files (IFO,VOB), VCD files, DVD ISOs, AC3, MP2, MP3, DTS pass through, WMA, OGG, and M3U . You can even up convert it to 1920 x 1080i for superior pictures if you have a HDTV. The MV-5000U comes with a built-in FM transmitter as well, but it fails to perform like many other FM transmitters. Most major audio formats are also covered, along with JPEG images. Unfortunately, the remote control has an awkward button placement scheme. A pay of $249 MV-5000U does the perfect job for media playback if thats what youre looking for.

BD-P1000 : Samsung First Blu-ray Player

Samsung launches industrys first Blu-ray disc player to the US market for availability on June 25th, BD-P1000 which offers close to five times the resolution of conventional DVDs making it the highest picture quality available on the market. It features 1080p HDMI output for films digitally mastered in 1920 x 1080p and it is compatible and plays both standard DVDs and CDs in addition to supporting all DVD formats including, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW and DVD+R.

Korean DViCO : TViX M-3100U

Korean DViCO announced their new HDD player device, TViX M-3100U. Its a 3.5-inch HDD machine with IDE connection. Its supported music formats are MP3, Ogg Vorbis and WMA and supported video formats; MPEG-1/2 and DivX, XviD and DVD (IFO,ISO,VOB). It has a 40mm fan at the back of the device as a cooling system. It weight approximately 1.3kg with dimensions of 183 x 139 x 75mm. RviX M-3100U will cost you 19,800Yen which is about USD176 and it will be on sale starting this 9th June.

Digital CowBoy unveiled a new HD DVD HDD media player, DC-MC50U2 which has a 5.25-inch bay that can contain either a HDD or a DVD drive. The DVI ports are Full HD with 1920×1080 resolutions. Supported video file formats are Mpeg-1/2/4, DVD (IFO, ISO, VOB), WMV HD and supported audio formats are MP3, WMA and OGG. We are still not sure about the availability and pricing yet. Arcam today launched its latest up scaling DVD player, the DV 137 that able to take normal video and spit it out at 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions. Its also able to spin CDs, SACDs and DVD-Audio discs at audiophile quality. This high-end player will never going to be cheap, you have to cough up the princely sum of USD 1,530 to get one here.
