Viliv has released a new UMPC today called the S10 Blade. Weighing 2.67pounds, this Windows 7 Home Premium-powered convertible netbook features a 10.1-inch multitouch display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, a 512MB RAM, an Intel Atom processors (a 1.6 GHz Z530 or a 2.0 GHz Z550), a Solid State Drive, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR connectivity. According to the company, the S10 Blade provide up to 10 hours of run-time or 7 hours of playback. No word on pricing and availability.
Samsung has released its new UMPC, the ‘NP-Q1EX’. It is powered by VIA’s 1.2GHz Nano ULV U2500 processor and Chrome9 HC graphics and comes with 2GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM, 60GB hard drive and an integrated SiRF Star GPS receiver, a QWERTY keyboard, 7-inch touchscreen with 1024×600 resolution, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, a 3-in-1 memory card slot and a 1.3-megapixel rear camera. Its battery life offers 4.5 hours of battery life with a 4-cell lithium.
The Korean manufacturer TG (Trigem) has announced their new UMPC/MID called the LLUON Mobbit PS400. The device is powered by a 1.33GHz Z520 ATOM CPU and comes with a 4.8” touchscreen (WSVGA) LCD, 1GB of RAM, 30GB of HDD (or 16GB SSD), the Korean Wimax equivalent of Wi-Bro, the Wifi, Bluetooth, a digital TV tuner, a 2Mpix camera and running on Windows XP Home. Wow nice one but just a little thicker, that’s it. The Fujitsu U Series is a tiny tablet/UMPC device that comes with a 5.6-inch, 1280×800 rotary touch panel LCD, 1GB of RAM, 60GB hard drive with the option for a 64GB SSD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, integrated webcam, memory card (SD and CF) slots, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor. The Fujitsu U Series is available for $1450.
Wibrain has announced its new UMPC ‘i1’ which is powered by Silverthorne Atom processor and features a built-in HSDPA module. It is planned to be launched on Menlow platform in two versions, one with 1.1GHz CPU and the other one with 1.3GHz version.
The unit will be running Windows XP or Linux and comes with 30GB/60GB HDD, an optional 64GB SSD is also available.

The Kohjinsha SX Series boasts a 8.9 inch touch screen display at 1,280 x 768 resolution, powered by Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor and comes with 1GB RAM, 60GB HDD, Super Multi-DVD drive, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. Besides that you, it also has an ExpressCard/34 slot, card readers, two USB 2.0 ports and VGA out. The Kohjinsha SX Series UMPC will be priced at €650 to €800 in Japan.
Gigabyte has unveiled the new UMPC M700 at the CeBIT 2008. It comes with a 7 inch touchscreen display (1024×600), 1.2Ghz C7-M Via processor, 2GB RAM, 40GB to 60GB of hard drive and it is running on Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. No pricing and availability announced.

, it looks like the Apple is developing a new tablet or an UMPC. The project represents its second stab at reinventing the PDA since the Newton met its fate in the late 90′s. The device is said to be slightly bigger than the iPhone today, with DVD-resolution (720×480) and the iPhone touch interface. This new device will appear sometime in Q1 2008.
OQO has upgraded their Model 02 Ultra UMPC with a speedy 1.6GHz processor and now has the choice between a 120GB hard drive or a 32GB SSD. The WWAN in the Model 02 Ultra has also been upgraded to 1.4Mbps EV-DO Rev and instead of pushing up the prices, it drop from $1,499 to $1,299. The updated Model 02 is currently on sale in the UK.
Fujitsu has released the new UMPC called the U810 (or U1010). It is powered by Intel A110 processor and comes with a LCD screen with 1024×600 resolution, Intel TBD video graphics, 945GU Express chipset, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 1.8-inch 4200rpm hard drive, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, QWERTY keyboard, webcam, and running on Windows Vista operating system. The Fujitsu U810 UMPC will be available this coming September for $1000.
