Divx 7 with H.264 video compression

Divx is introducing its newest version of their video player, the Divx 7. It is based on the H.264 video compression standard and offers video at up to 1080p HD resolution.

This new version of Divx comes in two different formats which is the free download Divx 7 and the Divx 7 Pro. The free download Divx 7 for Windows for Divx video playback and Divx 7 Pro which allows for Divx video creation. Both contain Divx 7 player that support H.264 files.

Beside that, the company also launches its Divx Plus Certification program, which allows the implementation of Divx technology on game consoles, televisions, mobile devices, and more. The upcoming Windows 7 is set to have Divx preloaded. Oh yeah, the Windows 7 beta is available for download.

Photoshop Evolution

Photoshoppers, have you use them all before? I started at Photoshop 7.0. Looks like the masking tool is an add-on, PS.87 and PS1 doesn’t have the masking icon on the palette.

Firefox 3.1 Beta with Multi-Touch Support

Mozilla has released its Firefox 3.1 beta version. This “Beta 2” version features include – Private Browsing Mode, Faster Javascript Engine, Improved rendering and support for new web technologies. It has one unique feature for MacBook too, this browser will support the Apple’s multi-touch trackpad. Supported gestures include:

- Swipe Left: Go back in history (hold Cmd to open it in a tab)
- Swipe Right: Go forward in history
- Swipe Up: Go to the top of the page
- Swipe Down: Go to the end of the page
- Pinch Together: Zoom out
- Pinch Apart: Zoom in
- Twist Right: Next tab
- Twist Left: Previous tab

* “Swipe” refers to 3-finger Swipe

which are even tougher than Safari’s support.

Mozilla warn that this beta version is for testing use only, there’s no release date announced.

Screenshots: New Microsoft Operating System

According to earlier reviewers report, the new Microsoft operating system, Windows 7, is much faster and stable. Windows boss Steve Sinofsky has confirmed that this os can be run on a system with just 1GB of RAM.

“The interesting part is that the Win 7 boots faster, (even with the other computer’s BIOS startup out of the way), but apparently takes longer time than the other system to shut down. But yes, these are totally unscientific.”

Windows 7 looks like Vista?

Hey guys and gals, here are some screenshots of the latest Windows 7. It looks pretty much the same like Vista. Of course there are updates and upgrades ~ “a return to the Ribbon interface, a simplified start menu, “My Documents” has been replaced to Libraries, fewer User Account Control alerts and a “light” Windows Media Player to name a couple.” Overall, they believe that there aren’t much changes. Isn’t that Vista background?

Wow this is really cool! Wimtone has released new high tech software called “Smart Vision” during the IDA 2008. What’s so cool about this software? Alright, this software allows you to convert the image taken by digital cameras into a text file ~ either MS Word or Notepad… And then translate it to other languages. Ready to snap some in the library.

This enhanced calculator java application will give you more maths functions such as SIN, COS, TAN, Xy etc like the scientific calculator.
