atree’s J2

Atree in Korea has announced its new portable media player called the “J2”. It has a 2.4-inch display with blinking LED ‘Red Eye’, e-dictionary function, video/audio playback, FM radio, photo/text viewer, voice recorder and microSD slot that support up to 8GB capacity. Samsung Yepp P3 Firmware Upgrade

Samsung Korea has announced a new Firmware upgrade on their Yepp P3. The upgrades include an improved UI (30% faster) and the ability to directly watch AVI video without conversion. It supports DNSe 3.0, Wise Volume and Vibe Woofer. Samsung also added cool features like paint mode where you can draw pictures for fun or jot something in a rush. More pictures after the break. Cowon D2+

Cowon has upgrade its D2 to D2+. D2+ has longer battery life than D2 and has additional features such as calculator, notepad, improved LCD, user interface, and radio recording. It measures78×55.4×16.6mm at 91g, there are two versions, one with DMB tuner and one without. It also has the SDHC slot which support up to 32GB SDHC cards. Teclast M50HD PMP

Teclast M50HD is a portable media player that comes with military grade zinc-magnesium alloy as its chassis to get its toughness. They use the super tempered glass panel materials to add more protection to the screen. The M50HD supports most of common formats and has a 720p high definition video playback and a 4.3 inch display (800 x 480 resolution).

Philips GoGear Ariaz

Philips has announced its latest PMP the GoGear Ariaz. It is a 2-inch touchscreen PMP with Philips’ patented Full Sound technology. It has a pair of sound isolation ear buds, FM radio with RDS, mic for voice notes and some software for optimizing movies and TV shows for its small display. It supports a wide range of audio formats, including the common MP3 and WMA, and MPEG 4 video. The Philips GoGear Ariaz will be available in stores this April at $100, $125 and $160 for 4GB, 8GB and 16GB respectively.

Haier’s Ibiza Theatre Touchscreen Portable Media Player

Ibiza Theatre touchscreen portable media player from Haier comes with a 2.4 inch 320 x 240 resolution display + Bluetooth connectivity, integrated FM tuner, microSD memory card slot, and supports for Real’s Rhapsody to Go service. It support MP3, WMA, AVI and MPEG-4 file formats and promises a 30-hour battery life. Coming this spring with 8GB / 16GB, priced at $110 and $130 respectively. I’m a little sick of this shape.

Supported formats include WMA, MP3, Ogg, FLAC, APE, AC3 and WAV audio files and MPEG-4, AVI, DivX, XviD and WMV video files. It runs on Windows CE 5.0 OS and has 10 hours of battery life. MAXIAN M1T Pocket Multi TV PMP

The MAXIAN M1T Pocket Multi TV is a PMP that runs on Windows CE 5.0 OS. It measures 106.5×61x14.1mm and weighs 127g, features 3.5” (HVGA) touch screen, DMB TV Tuner and choose from 8GB or 16GB and expandable with SD/SDHC slot. The MAXIAN M1T will support MP4, WMV9, H.264, MPEG-2, AVI, DivX, XviD video files, and MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, AAC, FLAC, APE audio files.

Energy Sistem’s 4040 Touch PMP

Here’s Energy Sistem’s 4040 Touch portable media player. It has a a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a built-in microphone, an FM tuner, and supports various audio and video file formats. The 4040 priced at €120. Oh yeah, there are also 5020 and 5021 models, which taking off the touchscreen and reduced the storage to 4GB ~ these PMPs will cost somewhere around €85.

Maxian M1 EDU PMP

Korean manufacturer Maxian has announced its new M1 EDU PMP which is powered by Dual Core CPU and it’s running on WinCe 5.0. The device comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen LCD, digital TV (DMB), FM radio, dictionaries, SD card slot for photos and compatible files, and it supports video codecs (Mpeg 1 to 4, WMV, AVI) and MP3 or WMA format files.
