Pioneer Computers Australia is releasing a new android tablet called the DreamBook ePad 7. This iPad-shaped device comes with a 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display, a 533MHz processor, a 256MB RAM, a 2GB SSD, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a 1.3-megapixel camera, a music/video player, WiFi, GPS (optional), Bluetooth (optional), 3G (optional), a USB 2.0 port, a 2400mAh battery and running on Android 1.6 OS. Priced at $199.

This iPad-shaped MID is powered by Android 1.6 OS and a 600MHz VIA processor and featuring 8-inch touchscreen display, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, a 128MB RAM, and an SD card slot (32GB support). 8.9” and comes with somewhat multitouch, this is Nvidia’s answer to iPad. Round edge, white plastic-like back plate, and supposedly powered by Android. Though according to Gizmodo, the looks does not justify its capability.

Obviously it is powered by Nvidia’s upcoming Tegra 2, which is actually a dual-core ARM Cortex A9, somewhat more powerful than iPad’s A4 processor. Now, why is it gonna win Apple’s iPad? Because on the paper it has better muscle, and a gig of RAM, while cheapskate Apple’s iPad only got a puny 256MB RAM. What’s more, it has USB ports, and a good damn integrated front cam! Read more…
ZTE has released a new V7 MID in Shanghai today. This mobile internet device is powered by 806Mhz Marvell PXA310 processor, running on Maemo OS and comes with QWERTY keyboard, a 4-inch (800×480) WVGA display, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 1800mAh battery. It measures 120mm x 85mm x 12.8mm and support EVDO 3G connectivity. No word on pricing and availability.

Chinese company Hongrun Electronics has released a Mobile Internet Device named MID700. It is powered by an 800MHz Telechips TCC8901 chipset and comes with a 7-inch 800 x 480 resistive touchscreen display, a 256MB RAM, a 2GB of Flash storage, an SD card slot, a miniUSB port, a USB port, an HDMI output, 1080p Full HD video playback and running on Windows CE6.0 OS. Sinchun a Chinese company has announced their new Mobile Internet Device (MID) called Saycool M5A. Say “Cool” people! It comes with 5-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display, a SIM card slot, GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 1900mAh battery and is pre-installed with Windows XP OS and also supports the new Windows 7 operating system.

Cowon has announced its new mobile internet device called the W2. According to the source, this brushed metal device is powered by 1.33GHz Intel Atom CPU and comes with a 4.8-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, WiFi, Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, an ethernet port and run on Windows 7 OS. No release date and pricing were said.
