Samsung has launched a HD flash-based camcorder ‘VM-HMX20′ featuring full HD and a1080p mode with 30 fps recording capability. This camcorder has a 6.4-megapixel CMOS with electronic image stabilization and capable of recording fast motion at 300 frames per second for up to 10 seconds and then drastically slow down the playback of the recording. Its 8GB built-in storage let you records lots of videos and if that is not enough, you can still expand it with high-capacity SDHC/MMC+ cards using the memory card slot. The VM-HMX20 has 2.7-inch wide-aspect touchscreen LCD to make things easier and also, its Anynet+ connection to HDTVs and other devices, allows users to control the camcorder using their Samsung HDTV remote while viewing movies. Sanyo has announced a new camcorder the Xacti VPC-CG9 in Korea. It has a 2.5-inch LCD monitor and incorporates 9.1M CMOS sensor with a high-performance F3.5, 5x optical zoom lens. The Xacti VPC-CG9 supports MPEG-4 AVC(Advanced Video Coding)/H.264 high compression and recording format, the Xacti VPC-CG9 compresses 60 VGA(640 x 480) frames into each second. The cool feature is that you can simultaneously record VGA movies and 2M stills without interrupting movie shooting. Other features include new shake-control mechanism for still pictures, a digital image stabilizer for movies and SD memory card capacity.
