Fits.me imitates ladies of all shapes and sizes, tries clothes on for all you ladies out there

Have you ever shop at online boutique just to have doubt at the end whether the shirt’s size fits you nicely? Unless you’re in the rather strange habit of going to stores, trying on clothes, and returning home to purchase them online, you never know how they look on you until the package arrives on your doorstep, which at times really is suck balls, trust me I’ve been there done that.

Last year Fits.me tackled this little niggling e-commerce issue with a shape-shifting male mannequin and finally, after a year of tireless work, the fairer sex has its own FitBot — turns out the female form is much more difficult to replicate. Ah ha! Exquisite species, I have no doubt on their claim on this!

Again, the adjustable, human stand-in is making its debut at the British retailer Hawes & Curtis and our more womanly readers can head to the source to get a better idea of how the White Hipster Shirt would drape across their particular body type simply by moving a set of sliders. But, before you go, check out the pair of videos after the break.

Volkswagen Aqua: The Futuristic Hovercraft Concept Car

Volkswagen Aqua: The Futuristic Hovercraft Concept Car

Now that’s one nice looking hovercraft there. Created by industrial designer Yuhan Zhang, the Volkswagen Aqua concept takes the world of futuristic automobiles to a whole new level thought it seemed quite heavy to me. As usual with concept designs, the Volkswagen Aqua concept sets itself apart by combining sleek designs with realistic practicality.

This versatile vehicle utilizes a combination of hovercraft and car technology that allows it to traverse over any terrain imaginable from lakes and rivers to rugged off-road terrains. Operating with two motor components, the Volkswagen Aqua utilizes a low emission hydrogen fuel cell motor and an electric motor.

Although the Aqua may just be a concept at the time, it would be an amazing feat to see the development of such hybrid vehicles coming into production for the general public.

Ecopad Tablet PC Concept

Ecopad Tablet PC Concept

Imagine a tablet computer that is light, and eco-friendly, as in, you do not need to recharge it. Unbelievable? Well, yes, it’s still a dream at the moment. This is the dream of Jun-se Kim, Yonggu Do, and Eunha Seo. The concept tablet is called the Ecopad, and the unique part of it is that that it uses no external power source to recharge its battery. The gadget has the nano piezoelectricity film on its touchscreen display that turns every touch or press on the screen into electricity. Yes, I can imagine recharging the battery of the tablet simply by playing Tap Tap Revenge.

When you have a cool house with awesome interior, your house also deserves some advance technology appliances. Electronically controlled lights and fans, and advance security cameras, but what about your faucets? I’ve always have interest in cool looking faucets from Yanko Design, and this time there’s a new one again.

Bamboo Fountain Faucet Concept

The Bamboo Fountain Faucet by Mickael Chrost looks like a bamboo stem. The faucet has a built-in digital thermometer for accurate water temperature, and a touch sensitive control panel to keep pace with your touchscreen phone and tablet.

NextOfKin Creatives’ EcoWater CES Purification System is very handsome

These days everything must be aesthetic and good looking, all thanks to Apple’s trendy fashion of making things looking slim and slender. Yes, even our water purification system needs to look good to match our cool-looking home.

A good example is this latest design from NextOfKin Creatives. This is their EcoWater CES purification system, which consists of three main cylindrical parts such as a water filtration column, a hot water tank and a re-engineered compact pump system to dispense water.

Directly connected to the kitchen tap, the EcoWater CES is the most compact in its category, dispensing extremely high quality water for your coffee or tea. Also gives your self-made coffee +9000 charisma points.

Pac Man hoodie looks cool yet dorky, you jelly?

Pac Man hoodie looks cool yet dorky, you jelly?

Hipsters getting hippie, but I still think this jacket’s cool. This black (or blue, I can’t differentiate, dame!) lightweight jacket has its surface (all of em!!!) covered with a Pac-Man maze print. Yep. Add the integrated hoodie onto it, and some may even call you a dork when you wear this. But I still think this looks cool in some way (yep, call me a dork ;P). Street surfers will surely love this. The thing is up for grab at rock & roll t-shirt shop Hot Topic for $45, thought the shop has nothing to do with music at all.

Flexbook concept looks like a candy-colored tablet-laptop combo

Flexbook concept looks like a candy-colored tablet-laptop combo

Is the tri-fold concept really coming? It seemed so. The idea started way back in 2006 when Fujitsu’s R&D envisioned it but doesn’t seem practical back then, but fast forward 5 years later and we’re seeing the tri-fold concept being brought back again this year.

“Life with Future Computing Award” saw the return of the tri-fold concept this year. The Flexbook, designed by Hao-Chun Huang, features a foldable 21:9 touchscreen and similarly flexible keyboard that allow its users to switch from laptop to tablet to book-like e-reader. It’s also been designed to sport a number of interchangeable sleeves in a Benetton-esque array of colors and patterns.

Back five years ago things might be impractical with the technology, but with compact ARM processors that don’t need dedicated cooling, and with chips getting smaller than ever, and even LCD screens that can be folded, the Flexbook seemed to be possible yet again.
