iPad 2 screen

Last weekend my uncle gave me his iPad 2 for a repair as the screen totally malfunction. So I thought it was easy, just blow the screen with hair dryer and start prying it up, so the moment i pried the side and sliding off the glue – I also slide off the ribbons (both ribbons – the power ribbon and the screen ribbon) :( . So the lesson, slide gently when opening up the screen. Hope I can fix it :P Wish me luck!

2day's How to: See the Actual Signal Strength on Your iPhone

Can you trust those signal bars? Wanna know more details of your iPhone signal coverage? So here’s how you do it. Before that, No jailbreaking is required.

Key-in *3001#12345#* on your iPhone and press call.
And now you will enter the Field Test page and you will notice it shows “number” on the upper left instead of the bar.
It usually shows number in negative – the closer the number to zero the stronger the signal (-60 is better/stronger signal than -100).
After that, you can simply exit the mode by clicking your home button.

If you want it to be permanent, just enter the Field Test page,
then hold the power button till the “slide to power off appear” but don’t turn it off.

This time hold the home button until it gets back to the home screen and you will now notice
that the signal strength is shown in number instead of bars.

It will be permanent there even you restart the phone, to toggle it back just Key-in *3001#12345#* again and hit the home button.

For android phones, you can find this under setting > about phone.
