The Ice Aquarium
|
|
Here’s an aquarium where you don’t fish moving around as they are all frozen. It is the Ice Aquarium located in the port city of Kessennuma in Miyagi. It’s actually an arrangement of 40 large ice blocks containing 450 specimens (80 varieties) of local marine life, yeah, they are frozen and dead of course. More images after the jump.

World’s Highest Swing
|
|
Check the world’s highest swing called the “Game for Brave People”. Swing over the edge of a 1,100 feet tall TV tower. Of course, those swings are equipped with safety accessories and the swing is set on a 700ft high viewing platform. If you dare to go for a swing, head to China, it’s in Harbin City in the Heilongjiang province and enjoys the view of Harbin City.

The Gold Facial

The Sea Organ
|
|
The Sea Organ (morske orgulie) is located on the shores of Zadar, Croatia. It is seventy meters long with thirty-five organ pipes built under the concrete. It is the world’s first pipe organ played by the sea. The movement of the sea actually pushes air through and the air holes along the top row of steps let the Sea Organ breathe in air to be transformed into musical sounds as the next wave plays its song. The waves will create random harmonic sounds.

Toilet Theme Restaurant

This is funny. Marton Theme Restaurant, it is a restaurant in Taiwan with fully toilet design, open since May 2004. They have the toilet bowl for seats and bathtub for tables and even the food are served in a toilet bowl-shaped container. More pics…

The Aquadom
|
|
Here’s the world largest cylindrical aquarium called the Aquadom. It is in the lobby of the Radisson SAS Hotel in Berlin. Measures 25 meters tall and contains up to 900,000 gallons of water. There’s also an elevator at the center of this big aquarium that lead to the restaurant at the top. The AquaDom was opened in December 2003 and it cost about 12.8 million euros.
