How it’s Made - Filing Cabinets

Have you ever wondered how the filling cabinets were made? In US, it comes in two sizes, one for letter-size paper and the other one for legal-size paper. While the UK cabinets are slightly different from the US, it has the width of the rails that support the suspension files. The UK sizes are known as A4, foolscap and A3. Crusher UGV

Researchers from Carnegie Mellon have come out with a Crusher UGV. It is an autonomous car which has the ability to navigate itself between GPS waypoints without human intervention. Watch it smashes the cars in the video after the break.

Hyundai Dual-view LCD Technology
|

Great! Driver needs the GPS and passenger needs entertainment. Now, Hyundai is looking towards incorporating the dual-view LCD technology for their future vehicles. This new technology allows two different views between the driver and the front passenger from one centrally mounted LCD display. Meaning to say, the driver can check outs the GPS and at the other side, the front passenger can enjoy movie. Hyundai will be putting on this technology in its Grandeur saloons first.

Auto-Grenade Launcher M307
|
|

The M307 was the successor to MK19. It is an auto-grenade launcher designed by General Dynamics. The M307 is capable of firing 260 shots per minute, with almost no recoil. This 50-pounds weight weapon can be transformed into a machine in just 1.42 minutes. More pictures after the jump.

Disappearing Car Door technology

Candle-powered Engine
|

It is developed by a Dutch designer who called Jos the Finch. This Stirling Engines is powered by the heat of waxinelichtjes or squat tea light candles. Put the candle in the model and you will see engine starts running. That’s cool! Watch the demonstration after the jump.
