Ever thought of playing music without touching anything? The AirPiano allows you to do so. The AirPiano is designed by Omer Yosha. It is an innovative musical interface which allows playing and controlling software instruments simply by moving hands in the air. It is a virtual matrix of keys and faders, each assigned with MIDI messages and ready to be triggered. Check out the demonstration after the break.
Do you collect those useless phone cards, credit cards, gift card or whatever plastic? Do throw them away, they can be use to make guitar picks. Other materials like cardboard, “Handi Snacks” stick, CD, Toshiba laptop, and plastic packaging can be use too. Just use a marker pen and draw the pick shape on the card and card it with scissor, piece of cake.

Looks like Ernie from Sesame Street gets a little crazy this time with his drum. This video is a bit sketchier than the prequel. The footage was harder to work with, and it’s generally not as quality due to Bert deciding whether or not he wants to go post that letter and having fights with the door. The music used was originally performed by a dude named Derek Roddy. Video after the break.

By demonstrating that a quality sound can be achieved by using unconventional material components at an extremely low cost, a cardboard bass guitar places the least demand on resource technology and encourages people to shift their preconceptions about the ‘typical novice instrument’. You will need to assemble it yourself and great, it can works with or without an amplifier. Musical Furnishing is introducing its Musical Rumble Series. It is a drum table with interchangeable and rearrangeable percussion inserts. They are four sizes of table to choose from. The smallest one accepts four of smaller instruments while the largest accept sixteen. All of them are hand built by NW Artist Tor Clausen in his Studio in Olympia WA.
