Toshiba 8GB SDHC
|
|
Toshiba announced the worlds first 8GB SDHC card. SDHC cards are used in high-def digital camcorders and still camcorders. This 8GB Toshiba SDHC card will hit store by January next year 2007 in Japan for 40,000 Yen ($ 340).

Luxury Snow Drive
|
|
Here’s another luxury gadget, the new Snow Drive, a 4GB only-for-the-rich USB flash disk, from Mii Stor. Its hood is filled with 18-karat white gold and three strips of 1.44-karat white diamonds with total of 96 diamond units. There’s also a handy chain included which is made out of white gold as well. This luxury Snow Drive will retailed for a whopping 10,000 pounds or around $19,000.

A-DATA Info SD Card
|
|
This is the world’s first SD card that comes with bi-stable display technology. Bi-stable is a very small display integrated into the card which does require additional power source and showing you the memory available in the card and also display the name of the card. The Info SD won the innovations award for computer accessories at CES 2007.

Canon M30 and M80
|
|
Canon goes into the Media View Market again with two Media Storage models, the M30 and M80 i The M30 comes in 30GB of storage while the M80 comes in 80GB storage. Both of them comes in similar specs except for the storage size, tey both come with a 3.7inch 262,000 color LCD display, 300 cd/m2 brightness, a 250:1 contrast ratio and a 160 degree viewing angle. Pricing and availability has not been announced.

SolidAlliance, the expert for uncommon USB keys offers MOTTAINAI. This special 2GB key will cost you 600euros. This MOTTAINAI is a work of art, it comes with some crystal as you can see from the picture, and the crystals are from Statsuma Kiriko, a major Japanese crystal glassmaker. Kingston Waterproof Memory Drives
|

Kingston’s DataTraveler Secure, it comes with 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) hardware encryption and it is protected by a titanium waterproof coating which protects your drive from water up to 4 feet. The drives are available up to 4GB sizes (£147 or $273), read speed: 24MB/s and write speed: 10MB/s.

Elecom U.STYLE drives
|
|

Japanese manufacturer Elecom released a couple of new USB drives the U.STYLE drives, styled in white plastic and you can make a selection from 4 different types of design (smart, flat, cute and block). As usual comes in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB except for “Block” model, which drops the low end 256MB option and ups the transfer rate to 25MB/sec. Pricing has not been announced.

Wooden USB Pen Drive

You won’t find this on any trees, Oooms from Netherlands released a bunch of USB pen drive in a twig design, it is made from wood and comes in capacities of 256MB, 512Mb, and 1GB. It comes in different designs and each of them will measures approximately 2cm x 2cm x 10cm and is connected via USB 2.0. Keep in a safe place before termites eat them off.
