Toshiba announced their new line of Satellite notebooks powered by AMD Puma mobile platform. Models include P300D, A300D, M300D, U400D, L300D, and L350D and they will come with a range of AMD’s Athlon Dual Core QL, Turion Dual Core RM, and Turion Ultra ZM processors. Other cool features include an integrated FM tuners, face recognition technology for greater security, Sleep-and-Charge USB ports, and eSATA ports. Besides all that, Toshiba also added Harman Kardon speakers and an HDMI output on all of its new Satellites.

Toshiba will be releasing its new G55 laptop for $1,550. Powered by the Centrino 2 CPU, and features an 18.4-inch (1680 x 945) display, GeForce 9600M GT, 4GB of RAM, dual drives, and the “Quad Core HD processor” powering many media functions including the camera-based visual gesture control system. This visual gesture system will allow users to use their hands to communicate any number of functions for the laptop.

This is the new gaming laptop from Toshiba, the Qosmio X305. It is powered by Intel 3GHz dual core processor and comes with 17inch WSXGA+ (1,680 x 1,050 resolution) LCD monitor, 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX with turbo cache VRAM, Dual high-speed 7200RPM hard drives of 200GB (total of 400GB), Up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, S/P DIF and REGZA link HDMI ports. They also include the Harmon Kardon stereo speaker system with subwoofer. The Toshiba Qosmio X305 will be available by July 14th 2008.

This is the HP’s Voodoo Envy 133 laptop. It has a LED backlit 13.3-inch screen (that’s what the “133” stands for I guess), carbon fiber body (super lightweight), multi-touch trackpad, built-in ethernet port into the power brick, removable battery, HDMI port, two USB ports, and an express card slot. Envy’s unique features will be its Voodoo InstantOn which enabled user to boot to Linux screen with seconds of starting up while Vista boots in the background. The Acer Aspire One is an Intel Atom powered, 8.9-inch, 1024 x 600 pixel notebook running on XP or Linux. It features 802.11b/g WiFi, up to 1GB of memory, an 8GB SSD or 2.5-inch 80GB, SD card slot, optional 6-cell battery and also an integrated WiMax module. It comes with a pink leather casing with 10.2-inch 1024 x 600 LED display, a VIA C7-M 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, a VIA Chrome9 graphics chipset, an 80GB hard drive, 802.11a/b/g, and bluetooth 2.0 support. It will be available this coming June 20th for $546. Hmm.. sounds like Jesus.

Wow cool! Split screen laptop! Someone is offering the Xentex dual screen laptop prototype on eBay, the current bit is $643. It has two 13.3” screen that can independently swivel.
