The first generation iPod Nanos goes kaboom. Owner reports that his nano was plugged into his notebook, after 10 minutes charging, it starts emit a sizzling sound and in a little while it exploded open, spewing sparks and smoke. The issue has been reported to Apple’s customer service but still waiting for the official response and plan of action.

Griffin Technology has announced their first game for the iPhone, iPhone 3G as well as the iPod Touch. It is a Vegas-style video poker game, given a name called “5 card touch”. The Griffin’s 5 Card Touch is now available at Apple’s App Store for $1.99.
