Samsung Bordeaux

Here’s Samsung new released “Bordeaux” a HDTV feature of a 10000:1 contrast out. It comes with HDMI ports, one at the front and two the back. The Samsung Super PVA Panel is provided to achieve the 10000:1 contrast ration. The Samsung Bordeaux comes in the choices of 32” and 40” LCD display and they are currently available in Korea.

LG announced 5 HDTVs with Digital Video Recorder
|
|
LG announced 5 new HDTVs with digital video recorder in Korea. The new TVs include the 37”, 42”, 47” LCD TVs and 50”, 60” Plasma TVs. Yes, all of them come with integrated digital video recorder and they feature dual tuner to record two shows at a time. Featuring 160 GB for the recording, I think should be enough.

Samsung released the world’s first 70-inch LCD HDTV
|
|
Samsung Electronic Korea will release the world first 70-inch LCD HDTV tomorrow. It features a 1920 x 1080 Full High-definition resolution , 2000:1 contrast ratio, 180 degrees of view angle (top, bottom, and left, right), 1.07 billion of colors, 600nit and a response time of 8 milliseconds. The pricing and availability is not available at this moment but they said that they will begin producing the new 70-inch LCD during the first half of 2007.

Samsung’s released new 50inch wireless HD PDP TV

Korea Samsung announced the released of their new 50″ wireless HD PDP TV. You does not need to use any cable connect your peripherals to this TV, so there’s no more ugly looking cable behind the TV. The wireless AV center, which do the data transfer through IEEE 802.11a network to the TV. The wireless home AV center can be connected with various AV devices like antenna, VCR, DVD, set-top or other AV devices through connectors convert image signals to wireless transmit signals and will transmit them to the PDP TV. This PDP TV will cost you 4800000 won ($ 4,974) in Korea. More pics…

Hitachi 42-inch and 55-inch 1080 Plasma Display
|
|
Hitachi has introduced the world’s first 1080 42-inch plasma display as well as a new 55-inch plasma HDTV. The new displays carry the UltraVision HDS69 Plasma HDTV brand and both feature 3 HDMI inputs and 3 composite inputs. The displays are powered by Hitachi’s PictureMaster HD III processor which features dynamic contrast, dynamic histogram processing, maximum 16 bit/281 trillion color capability, automatic 3:2 film processing, 4 HD aspect modes, 6 SD aspect modes, and split screen/picture in picture.

Samsung HDTVs on the Line
|
|
Samsung hits New York with its new HDTV for the summer slump. Their new HDTV comes in three model which is LN-S4696D for 46-inch, LN-S4096D for 40-inch and LN-S3296D for 32-inch. The 40 and 46-inch models are 1080p sets and it include USB and FireWire connections. Also introduced were their new 32-inch LN-S3251D, and 26-inch LN-S2652D and LN-S2651D LCDs, all with integrated ATSC, as well as their 67-inch HL-S6767W and 61-inch HL-S6165W 1080p DLP HDTVs.

If you are from UK, this gadget would be nice for you. Pace introduces a new free-to-air satellite receiver for HDTV viewers. Pace has launched their own set-top box that will allow people to enjoy football on the BBC. Users will need to point their dish 28.2 degrees east and owned a HDTV to enjoy this technology. The box will be on sale for USD380 and will be available later in June.

Dynaconnective has just launched three recent HD LCD TVs with screen sizes ranged from 32-inch to 46-inch. The pricing for each of them; 32-inch DY-LC32SD1 (USD1141), 40-inch DY-LC40SD1 (USD1944), and 46-inch DY-LC46SD1 (USD2658). They feature 1366 x 768 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, a quick 8ms response time, one HDMI port, and built-in analog/digital terrestrial tuners. Expected to hit the market mid of June.

|

This is what everybody is talking about. Samsungs LED powered DLPs. Instead of bulbs that only last 4-6 thousand hours, these HDTVs have light sources that will last almost 20,000 hours. Plus, they say that the LED backlighting can produce quicker startup times and more importantly, better color reproduction.
