I-O Data launched two portable HDD, the Giga Landisk HDL-GX750 and HDC-UX750. With HDL-GX750, users will be able to share the same HDD with the two built-in USB 2.0 port. Both models feature 750GB storage, eSATA ports and it will reach the maximum transfer rate of eSATA 150MB/s. It is compatible with Windows OS and Mac OS.

Korean DViCO announced their new HDD player device, TViX M-3100U. Its a 3.5-inch HDD machine with IDE connection. Its supported music formats are MP3, Ogg Vorbis and WMA and supported video formats; MPEG-1/2 and DivX, XviD and DVD (IFO,ISO,VOB). It has a 40mm fan at the back of the device as a cooling system. It weight approximately 1.3kg with dimensions of 183 x 139 x 75mm. RviX M-3100U will cost you 19,800Yen which is about USD176 and it will be on sale starting this 9th June.

Digital CowBoy unveiled a new HD DVD HDD media player, DC-MC50U2 which has a 5.25-inch bay that can contain either a HDD or a DVD drive. The DVI ports are Full HD with 1920×1080 resolutions. Supported video file formats are Mpeg-1/2/4, DVD (IFO, ISO, VOB), WMV HD and supported audio formats are MP3, WMA and OGG. We are still not sure about the availability and pricing yet. LG has just announced their new Blu-ray burner, GBW-H10N which is capable of writing at 4x. The ATAPI burner will support 4x recording for BD-R and 2x for BD-RE. The drive is also capable of recording on DVD-RAM media at 5x. The DVD-R/+R DL media is also supported by the drive. The drive is expected to retail in June for USD1,021. Western Digital had released their new next-gen hard drive, a 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive which stores up to 75GB of data transfer rate with 1.5Gb/s transfer rate and 16MB of cache. WD claims that with 1.2 million hours MTBF, enterprise duty cycle, 5-year warranty and state-of-the-art vibration tolerance, it is the worlds fastest SATA drive. Nvidia GeForce 7950 GX2 SLI graphics card is expected to take place next month at the Computex show in Taipei, Taiwan but recently the card spec had leaked out. The card contains two 7900 GTX GPUs each clocked at 500MHz. Theres 1GB of GDDR 3 SDRAM - 512MB per core. It has two dual-links DVI and a HD-capable TV-out port with HDCP anti-piracy board. It is the fastest single graphic card in the world.

Sony will soon begin to test its new “4K” projector which going to display images at 8 million pixels horizontally. Sony double their projector pixels from 4 million to 8 million! One of the projector has been installed at a theater in Los Angeles that will show Sony Pictures The Da Vinci Code. Movies can also be beamed to theatres via satellite or sent over fibre-optic cables and even from computer disc.

Sony is shipping their new dual layer DVD burner, DRX-820UL which is the upgrade version of last year DRX-810UL model. It has a 5x speed rewritable DVD-RAM and can burn all DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW media. It also can records DVD+R DL media at 8x speed, DVD-R DL media at 6x speed and single-layer DVD±R discs at 16x speed. Its connected via USD2.0 or IEEE1394 and will be available at the street price of USD 178.

D-Link will release Wireless 3G Mobile Router on the 17th and 18th May at the Olypia London Wireless Event. It has access speed up to 2.4Mbit/s with Ethernet and 802.11g Wi-Fi network.
