Selling off your old iPhone and get the new one? Alright, here’s another interesting part of the 3G iPhone or iPhone 3G, is that it “finds points of interest by keyword: search for ‘coffee’ and iPhone shows you every cafe nearby.” Like the above, search pizza and you will the locations for pizza. Clarion Japan released 2 Portable Navigation System - DTR-P50 and DTR-P70
|
|
Clarion Japan has come with 2 new PNS (Portable Navigation System), the DTR-P50 and the DTR-P70. Both of them are running on WinCE 5.0 with a 400MHz CPU and features 4.3” LCD, Bluetooth, an SDHC port, 2GB of internal memory, support MP3 and WMA audio files and the WMV and MPEG-4 video files. The difference between that two is the support of 1Seg TV (recording and playing). The P50 weighs 187 grams while the P70 weighs 236 grams. Back shot after the break.

iGo 3D GPS navigation running on iPhone

Nav N Go is showing off its iGO MyWay 8 at the CeBIT 2008. It is actually an “upcoming yet-to-be-announced iPhone GPS receiver.” There’s not much information released about it. Check out on the video after the break.

The Eclipse AVN2210p MK II car stereo comes with a detachable TomTom portable GPS to navigate your way. Of course, it still has a CD player and it support for and WMA discs. The stereo comes in a double-DIN design, blue illumination, with a low-pass filter for adding subwoofer, 50W x 4 power, built-in Bluetooth and USB. The Eclipse AVN2210p MK II is going for 600 bucks at amazon.com.

Garmin Forerunner 405 - GPS watch

This is the Garmin’s Forerunner 405, a GPS watch that track speed, distance, calories, heart rate and location. When you back home from jog, the 405 will wirelessly send the data to your computer. The forerunner watch also has the Virtual Partner to compete with you when you are running alone. The Garmin’s Forerunner 405 GPS watch is available for $300.

Mio A502
|

Taiwanese manufacturer Mio has announced their new PDA phone which called the Mio A502. It will run on the Windows Mobile 6 and comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, 1GB of ROM and a high speed USB 2.0. MioMap navigation software, windshield mounting kit and car charger should be included. Check out the specs after the jump.

Narizon’s Virtual GPS for iPhone

Finally you can get a GPS in your iPhone, just get the Narizon’s virtual GPS installed. It is done by locating the nearest WiFi hotspots and cellular towers. Narizon also uses a database of geo-information built by its user community. After the installation, you can setup Google Map to use the virtual GPS. You can have a try as it’s free for 15 days after that you will need to pay $25 to continue.

|

iPAQ 314 is HP new navigation system with 4.3″ touchscreen display at 800 x 480 pixel resolution. It has a Bluetooth connectivity that allows you to sync with your Outlook to gives instant access to your contact on-the-fly. The HP iPAQ 314 GPS navigation system is pre-loaded with Western Europe countries maps. Pricing and availability has not been announced. Check more after the jump.

GPS Shoes for Prostitutes
|
|
Aphrodite Project has developed a GPS platform shoes for prostitutes. The shoes come with an audible alarm system which will give out a sharp noise to scare off attacker. The shoes are equipped with GPS receiver and an emergency button that relays both the prostitute’s location and a silent alarm signal to public emergency services. I wondered if they manage to press the button if someone comes from behind.

Pioneer AVIC-X3 GPS System
|
|
Pioneer put their AVIC-X3 on sale in France. AVIC-X3 is a GPS that boasts a DVD player and a 7-inches touchscreen. It comes with TMC receiver, over 1.5 million interest points (in 26 european countries for this version), and it has the iPod and video games consoles compatibility. The system is equipped with the multi sensor technology for the navigation so you won’t got lost when you in subways. The Pioneer AVIC-X3 will be available in September, no words on pricing.
