Kenwood has released three new car in-dash radios that are equipped with Supreme. Supreme is technology that offers a very high sound quality. They are iPod, WMA and MP3 compatible and features a control screen with an increased brightness for better usage day and night.

Pioneers Car Entertainment Systems

Pioneers presents its range of Car Entertainment systems, it comes with a 30 GB hard drive and 7″ wide TFT-LCD 234 x 480 display. There are in all 5 models the AVIC-HRZ99 and AVIC-HRZ88 come with a deck whereas the AVIC-HRV22, AVIC-HRZ99G and AVIC-HRZ88G have a terrestrial. All of them will have a GPS and navigation map display on its 7-inch screen with an easy understand directions. Best of all you can copy your audio CD’s to the onboard hard drive but it’ll be ripped in Atrac3 format. The CD / DVD drive can also read MP3 / WMA discs and it comes with a FM tuner and also an amplifier which provides an output of 50W×4ch. An optional iPod adapter will be available later with the system. Pioneer will be launching the systems in Jpan by late October. One more image…

Chrysler MyGIG system

Chrysler unveiled the MyGIG in-dash system which will come as a staple in the 2007 Chrysler Sebring sedan. This $1700 MyGIG features a 20GB hard drive, you can store up to 1,600 songs, picture and also address book. It also incorporates navigation maps in 3D as well as real-time traffic information from Sirius Satellite Radio.

The Dual XDVD8182, this in-dash mobile video comes with a 7-inch touch-screen TFT LCD display and direct-connection for iPods with Dock Connectors. The single-DIN receiver comes with 5.1 channel preamp outputs; one set of audio/video inputs, two video outputs. It is compatible with DVD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3 and WMA media. When iPod is connected through the supplied interface cable, the XDVD8182 becomes a command center for the player information such as Playlist, Artist, Album, and Track will be displayed on the LCD screen, which is also used for viewing videos stored on the player (don’t watch when driving).

Kenwood launches 6 cars radio with USB connection
|
|
Kenwood is launching six new car radios which allow you to connect USB hard drives or MP3 players to access their music. This is a bit different from Sony’s which offering that pushes in a flash drive in the car stereo and a Giga panel, Kenwood go for a USB connection thus stepping out of the usual confines of built-in storage devices and assembling everything from USB to hard drives to MP3 players to the units. The radios will detect and play back audio files on the devices, supported formats include MP3, ACC or WMA. The four 1-DIN models KDC-W534UA, KDC-W5534U, KDC-W6534U and KDC-W7534U will have their USB cable connection on the rearside, while the other 2-DIN models, the DPX501U and DPX701U, will have their USB connection at the front. Kenwood has partnered with PhatNoise built the ACDrive system which giving you the benefit to play and select music recorded on a USB media or CD drive. For additional Kenwood also include an optional iPod adapter making it possible to connect and control Apple’s portable music player, cool iPod. Pricing and availability has not been announced.
