Apple issuing refunds for Final Cut Pro X

Of course, over here we’re no videographer, and we already look so professional by simply fiddling around Photoshop resizing photos and adding some effects. Simple program like iMovie don’t even fits my needs and I only know how to make videos using the iPhone with 720p, and that’s all. But for those of you whose livelihood depends on your video editing software and making wedding videos or commercial ad videos using your 5Dmk2 or even your RED EPIC camera, iMovie just isn’t going to cut it.
When Apple announced that Final Cut Pro X would be available in the app store for a meagre US$299, a huge chunk of the community welcomed the price reduction with open arms. People who took the plunge soon learnt that “you get what you pay for”, and also some added “Apple style”.
It turns out that FCPX did not make the cut, falling way below the expectations of professional video editors, with lots of (you would think) key features left out. It even turns out to be incompatible with legacy formats. With the uproar reaching feverpitch, Apple has finally bit the bullet and is quiet issuing refunds to pros who absolutely can’t fit FCPX into their workflows and who have made a prerequisite amount of noise.
I’m sure it’s not all bad, after all Apple does have quite a following for their FCP series of tools, but we’d like to know from you guys, who’s paid for FCPX and are you happy with it or will you be shouting for a refund? Or probably just STFU and bear with it…
