HP refreshed their dv6t and dv7t, now with 1080p resolution

Last week HP updated almost all of their laptops, but the mammoth dv6t and dv7t was left out. Now, we’ve got them refreshed by HP as well, and with some very cool goodies.
The Pavilion Quad Edition dv6t and dv7t was introduced earlier this year, but they only had a measly 1600 x 900 resolution. This time it’s going to be offered with a very awesome resolution, and that is 1080p! Of course, that’ll cost you an extra $150.
As before, both come standard with 2GHz quad-core Core i7 processors, AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphics with 1GB of video memory, 4GB of RAM, and 640GB hard drives. HP is also offering free upgrades to 6GB RAM and 750GB hard drive space, though no promises on how long that’ll last.
Before you get too excited, though, 1080p displays are only an option on these so-called Quad Edition models and the dv6t Select Edition — meaning, you can’t opt for this awesome resolution if you’re going for a lower-end dv6 or dv7t.
So, if you’re scouting around for a large notebook, I suggest you act fast, before the offer gets taken down.
