Looks like not only LG will be making A15 chips, as Qualcomm will also be having some fancy Cortex-A15 soon, according to the leaked roadmap above. Qualcomm will be sampling its MSM8930/60 and APQ8064 Snapdragon chips this coming Q2 (which is now). This is further proven by the company’s latest earnings report that say sampling of the company’s 3G/LTE MSM8960 chipset will kick in at any time now. If things go as planned, then they might be able to jump ahead of ARM’s forecast of quad-core powered handheld devices coming in late 2012.
