Netgear’s N750 wireless router blast through competition at speed of 750Mbps

These day router manufacturers are going the trendy and aesthetic way to design their products. Gone are the days where routers stand tall with antennas that look like they’re ready to shoot down incoming jet fighters. We started seeing cool looking wireless routers from Linksys and Cisco that has antenna-less designs, and then Belkin followed along. Now it’s time for the Netgear trend.
Their latest WiFi router is called the N750, because it’s capable of speed up to 750Mbps. Unbelievable? Yes, it’s fake. This dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n router can hit speeds of 450Mbps over the 5GHz band and 300Mbps at 2.4Ghz, for an “aggregate combined data rate” of 750Mbps. Reality speaking you won’t be able to achieve such speed, especially if two or more devices are connected to the router. You can connect one device in either band without dragging down the transfer rate of the other, but if you got more devices connected to the same band, and it’ll go down again.
The N750 also includes a ReadySHARE USB port for network storage, parental controls, and a price to brag. Yes, this thing will only cost you $150. Bloody cheap bargain yet again from Netgear! Kudos!
