Japan Softbank CEO donates $120 million and his salary for the rest of his life to disaster relief fundMeet the guy that you must respect the most in this world. There are many creative people in this world that gets the noble prize, but this guy gets the biggest applause the world can ever give. Softbank, the only carrier that offers iPhone in Japan, already made a name by offering free exchange of iPhones for those Japanese that lost theirs during the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, and also offering cell phones gratis to earthquake orphans, and even foot the bills of theirs until they reach 18 years old.

But the wise man isn’t satisfied with his wisdom. The CEO of Softbank, Masayoshi Son, is cleaning his ‘very deep’ pockets in order to ease his fellow people of the Japan. What is he going to offer this time? Well, ¥10 billion out of his own pocket will be used to “support the region and people affected by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami,” and if you’re curious, that equates to just under $120 million in greenbacks.

Well, some might argue that this is just his pocket change, since he’s quite literally bloody rich. But no, he doesn’t stop there. He even vowed to “donate to the same cause all of his future compensation as the head of Softbank.” Yes, all of his net salary from Softbank will be going to the relief fund.

Softbank as a company will be handing over ¥1 billion, with both the man and his entity considering various channels for which the money will be distributed. Sometimes being rich also makes someone very awesome, and this Mr Son is the most awesome person in this round, standing head to head with people like Michael Schumacher who donated $10 million to the tsunami disaster fund in 2005.
