Top Gear China first episode aired

There’s the original Top Gear UK. Shortly after Australia had their fair share down under with much controversy at the beginning too, and then the Americans were jealous and had their too. Now, it seemed that BBC is working hard to milk the world’s most popular Automotive Show ever aired, and presented to us Top Gear China.
It’s started with a leaked photo that sparked the rumour, and then some short teaser-like video, and now it finally aired in China, at time where the three others were on a break. I guess the project actually was kept a secret for a long time. Watch the first 15 minutes of Top Gear China after the jump.
The Chinese spin-off follows the same format as every Top Gear franchise, sporting three energetic hosts, silly challenges and a studio audience made up of attractive girls and trendy-looking dudes. The first episode of Top Gear China includes a comparison test between a Cadillac and a donkey, apparently to see which is better at graining dry corns. Not as hilarious as their original UK counterpart, but it does provide some level of entertainment for the Chinese audience.
