Apple vs. the Missus

We all know that Apple is facing shortage of supply for their iPad 2, and they’re also getting ready to launch the new iPad in 25 more countries tomorrow. So they did everything they could to increase the supply, and one of them is to strictly monitor the return rate of the iPad 2, especially since iPad 2 buyers are experiencing problems and returning them in a huge number rate. That’s where the funny story comes from.
Apple is paying close attention to all iPad 2 returned during the first few weeks to make sure there are no major production defects, and according to one of the site’s sources, Apple staff found something they weren’t quite expecting.
“One iPad came back with a post-it-note on it that said: ‘Wife said no’,” they said.
Apparently the wife isn’t notified of the husband’s fondness of the new iPad, and isn’t very happy about it. The returned product, with the note, was flagged as something funny before being noticed by two executives further up the chain. And how did they respond?
“They sent the guy an iPad 2 with a note on it that said: ‘Apple said yes’,” the source said.
Good grief! Let the battle begin!
