Google Nexus S was announced with quite some hype back in December, and after 3 months it finally arrives in our shores thanks to Maxis.

If you do not know, the Google Nexus S is a collaboration between search engine giant Google and the Korean electronics giant Samsung, and is the first ever Android phone to be equipped with Gingerbread (Android 2.3). What’s more, you’re getting first hand Google Experience with no manufacturer’s customization.

Hence, the new smartphone comes with a number of improvements provided by the OS such as better text input capabilities, improved power management, the Near Field Communications support that many other companies followed, and many more.

Internally, it is powered by the same processor that was used in the original Samsung Galaxy S – the 1GHz Hummingbird processor (Samsung S5PC110) together with 512MB of dedicated RAM and 16GB of internal flash storage. Other features include 4.0-inch Super AMOLED contour display with a maximum resolution of 800×400 pixels, a VGA front facing camera and 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera complete with LED flash.

The new Google Nexus S by Maxis will be yours for only RM 1,499 onwards pending on your call plans, but you can also have it at RM 2,499 with no plans.
