Samsung Galaxy S II will have Nvidia Tegra 2 for certain continent

During launch, Samsung Galaxy S II is said to be running on Samsung’s own Exynos dual-core processor, but medias soon spotted some Galaxy S II powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor, which sparks some confusion. Now it is confirmed, that due to low yield of the Exynos processor unable to sate the high demand of the Galaxy S II, Samsung will be getting help from Nvidia to fill up the supply gap. There will be a version of Samsung’s 4.3-inch Galaxy S II Android smartphone relying on a dual-core Tegra 2 chip, which runs at the same 1GHz as Exynos and offers comparable performance. The decision as to which part you’ll get in your next Samsung smartphone will depend on which territory you’re in, with US and UK having a high chance of getting the Exynos processor version.
