And you think Motorola, Samsung, and LG are the only ones coming up with Tegra 2 Android tablets? No. Apparently even the Taiwanese electronic giants are gearing up for Tegra 2 tablets. Gigabyte has unveiled the new Gigabyte GN-TB100 Android tablet at CeBIT 2011. The gadget features an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

Specifications are quite similar with other Tegra 2 tablets entering the market, like 1GB of Ram and up to 32GB of internal storage, besides WiFi-N, Bluetooth, and HDMI-out. Of course, let’s not forget about the 5-Megapixel camera at the back which is very much capable of 720p video recording, and a 1.3-Megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. Sadly though, this Tegra 2 tablet by Gigabyte is not coming with Honeycomb (Android 3.0), but instead only Froyo (Android 2.2).

The Gigabyte GN-TB100 Tegra 2 Android tablet will be launched in July 2011, and there’s no mention when it’ll receive update to Honeycomb. Now that’s not very attractive. In this era where everyone’s copying everyone with Tegra 2 tablets and Honeycomb OS, there’s no way such spec can stand out among the crowd.
