Facebook Phone rumour resurfaced, spread to 22-thousands in two hours

This is indeed a wild rumour, but two sites have suggested that a possible Facebook phone will be coming, and very soon. a report from the London-based City A.M. financial newspaper, which says it has learned from unnamed sources that HTC will debut two Facebook-branded phones at Mobile World Congress next month. Details on those are otherwise expectedly light, but the paper says the phones will run a “tweaked version” of Android and sport Facebook’s colors — supposedly, Facebook’s Joe Hewitt and Matthew Papakipos (formerly of Firefox and Google, respectively) are largely responsible for the launch.
Furthermore, BGR also mentioned that it has heard from someone involved in a recent focus group that’s supposedly centred on a Facebook phone. The insider mentioned that the phone (which apparently wasn’t actually referred to as a “Facebook phone”, probably an inside codename atm) would have an always-on GPS service to track where you crap, no or very little local storage which leads to a possible cloud system, a camera (with images stored in the cloud too), a “news ticker-style message notification system” with all messages funneled into one “mass inbox” and, last but not least, some sort of location-aware coupon service that’s described as “Facebook Deals on steroids.”
Of course, Facebook has been denying such venture flat out since months ago when the first rumour surfaced, and they had yet again denied this rumour. But, would you trust your phone to be “A Facebook experience” after all the privacy hu-ha?
