AMD Radeon HD 6990 shown to public, is indeed monstrous

Nvidia might have the king of DirectX 11 single card, but AMD is not going to let them reign supremacy. Oh no, the red camp is already tinkering with the successor of the HD5970, and though it’s a dual-GPU that takes on the resemblance design, the dimension is not something that resembles its predecessor.

The AMD Radeon HD 6990 seemed to be ready after some long testing, and it should serve as AMD’s 2011 flagship, which has just been shown off at an Asia Pacific Fusion Tech Day gathering. If you look at the picture above, and compare the size of the card to the length of the PCI-Express pin, you can imagine how humongous this monster card is. The card is said to be arriving at late of Q1 2011, hopefully in time for Crysis 2.
