Asahi Glass introduces Dragontrail for consumer electronics, scares the Gorilla

Corning’s Gorilla Glass might have a very tough competitor very soon. As we all know, the Gorilla Glass is famous for its scratch-free and super-duper durable glass, but now here’s Asahi Glass coming into play for this awesome market. Whacked with a hammer? Easy. The company indicates it’s been working on the product for years now and expects sales next year to surpass 30 billion yen — that’s $365 million. For glass. Yes, please make these glasses available on more smartphones, so that I can ditch the annoying screen protector that always peels off.
