Q1 gave Apple a $6 billion in profit, 16.2 million iPhones sold

Apple, the company that innovates, and the rest follow. Many might hate them for reasons unknown, but there’s just no way can you ignore the massiveness of the company. Apple has just spoken out about their quarterly report, and it’s staggering. Yes, it’s that time of the year again, so let’s check out some dizzy numbers.

The company is making $26.7 billion revenue as the quarter ends, and that alone pulls out some $6 billion profit. Yes, the company is filthy rich right now, as they have $59.7 billion cash in reservoir compared to last quarter’s $51 billion. Sales wise, 16.2 million iPhones were sold, up 86 percent from last year, and Apple has Asia to thank. Asia / Pacific led growth at 67 percent, which is 10 times the market.

iPad sales is 7.33 million, which is its second quarter and there’s no competition yet. Surprisingly the iPad outsell the Mac by some 3 million. Market cannibalization at its best. Mac sales went up by 23 percent to a record of 4.13 million, and half of them are new Apple owners. It seemed like Apple’s brand exposure is getting very strong. Though the iPod sales drop 7-percent, but the numbers are still very strong at 19.45 million unit.

All in all, 160 million iOS devices sold till now. Well, congrats Apple.
