Hercules XPS101 High-end 2.1 Audio System

Hercules, I thought they do not exist anymore in this cyber age. But they still pop up at CES 2011. Luckily they’re here to sing for us, not to stomp the world with their mighty godly strength. Hercules has introduced their new XPS101 Refined Performance Speakers. The high-end 2.1 audio system is said to be capable of delivering the dynamic ambience of a live music event, the captivating soundtrack of an action movie and the precision audio effects of a multiplayer video game.

The XPS101 consists of a sub-woofer, two sparkling satellites and a wired, and backlit remote control. The sub-woofer houses 3 drivers: one 6-inch main active driver, and two 6-inch passive pressure drivers. The sub-woofer’s wooden enclosure guarantees excellent bass reproduction. The Hercules XPS101 high-end 2.1 audio system will be launched later this month, at a suggested retail price of $249.99. Certainly not a cheap speaker, but it should be capable enough to wake your neighbours in the morning.
