Rob a restaurant? There’s an app for that!

Here’s a 20-year-old punk name Jerome Taylor, who puts on a mask, walked into a restaurant, and asked for some money. That’s called robbing from where I came from, and usually you’ll need at least a knife or a Glock in order to accomplish such mission. Some faked it, while others got themselves some real tools. This dude however, used an iPhone.
Now, the boss of the restaurant might be rich, but usually chefs don’t carry much (or any) cash around. Thinking that Mr Taylor might be carrying a real handgun, the chefs armed themselves with their usual tool, the knives, and that scared the shit out of this young robber.
Terrified by the knife-wielding staff, Taylor suddenly “became apologetic and told the cooks he was only kidding and that he needed money for his child.” He managed to flee before the police arrived, but it didn’t take them long to catch up with him. At that point Taylor revealed that he didn’t have a gun and had threatened the cooks with an iPhone.
Despite the restaurant staff insisting that no charges be pressed because they felt bad for Taylor, the man was charged with attempted robbery and interfering with an officer. But I’m still curious. How can he afford an iPhone and not food for his baby? Young dads these days are really…
