ASUS Eee Reader DR900 to Hit Europe for the Christmas Sales

Just in time for the holiday sales, Asus has announced that it’ll launch its latest e-Book reader “Eee Reader DR900” in Europe starting next month. Just a recap, the DR900 is a 9-inch 1024 x 768 SiPix e-paper display with a 2GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, optional 3G, WiFi, a micro USB port, a 3.5mm headset jack and built-in stereo speakers. The Eee Reader DR900 will retail for 320 Euro (about $415).

Viewsonic Drops a New All-In-One Desktop PC

Viewsonic has also joined the all-in-one market by dropping a new all-in-one desktop PC for the US market called the VPC220T. This space-saving machine sports a Full HD screen in the form of the 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit multi-touch display, and is powered by a 3.06GHz Intel Pentium E6600 processor, a NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics card with 512MB of VRAM to run all your Full HD contents and some simpleton games, a 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a DVD writer, and a 4-in-1 card reader. Connectivity wise, there are WiFi and an HDMI port. The computer also has a pair of 3W speakers and is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Professional OS. The VPC220T sells for $1,049.

This is one cool looking handy drive, shaped like a real key. This is actually SplashData’s latest USB flash-drive with the company’s SplashID password manager, called SplashID Key Safe. Just plug the key into the USB slot of any computer, enter your password, and SplashID will launch with your data. Pull the key out and not a trace of SplashID or any of your data remains on the computer. The Key Safe features web page auto-fill and an option to sync with databases (dedicated app or cloud based, probably). It also uses auto search to find records by entering the first few letters of the name in the search field. The SplashData SplashID Key Safe is priced at $29.95 with free shipping.

Many nations are having a ‘train war’ to see who can develop the fastest train out there. But the real praise goes to China for that. They’ve been performing very well this year, with the world’s fastest train being unveiled this year, and another rail links project from Asia to Europe, something like the silk road of modern day. But now, this new train from China is pure awesome. The Chinese nation has just unveiled its first fuel cell light rail locomotive. That’s right; this bullet snake is powered by hydrogen.
