Nikon D7000 firmware update released, reduces ‘hot pixel’ but not totally gone

When Nikon launched its D7000 for another cat fight with Canon’s EOS 7D, things didn’t really go as well as they have planned. The D7000 suffered from a ‘hot pixel’ issue that pops up when taking videos in low light. Nikon has thus released the P7000 firmware update, but then again, despite saying that this update is solely to fix the hot pixel issue, Nikon USA stated that the “bright spots” effect has been “reduced”, but not totally eliminate the problem. Still, the hot pixel issue shouldn’t bother you that much now, so you can safely go and record your best white Christmas moment.
