Acer introduces new Revo 100, looks like your ugly Blu-ray player

Acer has introduced a new Revo for your living room, but this time it’s getting bigger, nearly doubles the size. But please forgive Acer, because they’ve included a funky RevoPad for you to fiddle around with. This is essentially a new multimedia PC called the Revo 100, which has a very odd combination of an AMD Athlon II Neo dual-core processor and an Nvidia ION 2 graphic chip in it, along with the common 4GB memory, 750GB hard drive, a combo Blu-ray drive, memory card reader, WiFi, HDMI port, and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

Usually we see Intel’s Atom paired with ION 2, or AMD’s latest Bobcat platform, but Acer as somehow opt for this weird setup. But let’s forget about that, because Acer has included a slide-out RevoPad, which can function as either a multitouch gesture pad or, when activated, a QWERTY keyboard with lit-up keys on the same surface. Will be a nice thing to play with when the movie gets boring. It seemed that UK will be getting this baby first, at a price of GBP 599 (around USD 942).
