Kingston SSDNow S100 SSD

Here’s a new budget SSD from Kingston in the form of the SSDNOW S100. The storage device comes in a 2.5-inch SATA form-factor and supports SATA 3Gb/s interface. But with a storage capacity of 8GB or 16GB, you can’t really store a lot if you use this in your laptop. This would be good for those that want to try out SSD by using this as the boot drive, with the operating system installed in this drive.
The Kingston SSDNow S100 SSD offers a 90MB/s read speed and 30MB/s write speed (8GB model) or a 230MB/s read speed and 75MB/s write speed (16GB model). The 8GB model retails for $55, while the 16GB model is priced at $77. A very good option for first timer of SSD setup with a very tight budget.
