Hot Pursuit relived at the Italian Alps

Think that Hot Pursuit is quite fun? Well, I’ll have to take away a few points for the lack of storyline and some CG cut scenes. But Electronic Arts seemed to be going rather ‘all out’; at least they’re trying to, in the commercial side. Probably don’t want to lose out to Microsoft’s big budget Kinect advertisements. The giant game studio just had two of the world’s most exotic supercar going ‘cop chasing bad guy’ over at Italy’s backyard.

One of the star is a whale-screaming Pagani Zonda Cinque as the bad guy enjoying his cruise ride over the Italian Alps. The protagonist (or antagonist) is a rather stubborn ‘cat eared’ Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 with its side kick chopper, presumably Seacrest Coutry’s hero of the estate. What’s more awesome about this daredevil chase with powerslides around the high altitude alps is a very fitting “Not Your Toy” remix of La Roux, by Nero.

Both of the babies were being tamed by legendary stunt drivers Marc Hennerici and Marc Basseng. Thumbs up to EA Games this time for making such a stunning ad. Wish the real game were as stunning as the ad, in the graphics department at least. Hopefully down the road few years ahead, racing games will have such graphics similar to the real deal here.
