Sony has a lineup of e-Readers just like Amazon has their Kindle and Barnes and Noble has their Nook Color. Since everyone has e-reading apps for Android and iOS platforms, Sony is also following the ship, with its own freshly announced Reader offering set for release next month.

Same thing as how Amazon does it, the new app will let you have access to books that you’ve already purchased at the Reader Store, or let you buy new ones. Making bookmarks and notes and highlights are all possible on your smartphones. There’s no mention of adjustable fonts and/or zoom in, but if it does, then your phone would probably be yet another mobile e-reader.
