Super Talent announce new 480GB UltraDrive MX SSD

More and more SSD are appearing in the market, and here comes another SSD from Super Talent, the company that brought us many nano-size handy drives. Super Talent has added a new storage capacity to its UltraDrive MX SSD line-up by bringing you the 480GB model. Just like its predecessors, this 2.5-inch SSD also comes with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a JMicron 616 controller, a 64MB of cache memory and has a dual interface for both SATA II and mini-USB connections. In terms of performance, it’s not as fast as SandForce powered SSD, but it provides decent read and write speeds of up to 250MB/s and 180MB/s, respectively. The 480GB UltraDrive MX SSD will set you back $1,200. Not particularly cheap, but decently priced as its 480GB, not your common suspects of 64GB. The great thing here is the dual interface, which means you can use this internally, or as an external storage, with a case of course.
