Concrete PC not everyone’s cup of tea, but sure is unique

This just further proves that each individual has different taste. Some might like the military design of Cooler Master’s HAF-series. Some might drool over Silverstone and Lian Li’s classy and sleek clean look for their aluminum casings. Even Thermaltake’s Level 10 cases have some devilish look striking me. But casing here surely will not appeal to the majority enthusiasts – a concrete PC.

Dubbed something with more ‘industrial’ look instead of the very common ‘luxurious’ or ‘space age’ look, D. Heiße’s creation is definitely special. D.Heiße made the case using a single layer of concrete, which he accomplished by fashioning a complex frame out of steel sheeting and welding rods. The mod is D.Heiße’s entry for a mod contest that asks that finished entries have PSU visible to the user. Thus, the plexi-glass windows you see in the photos were also included in his custom-made framing.
The frame alone took two tiring months to develop; D.Heiße didn’t disclose how long it took to fully complete this project. Seeing that those SSD and HDD enclosure were also custom made, the time frame should be pretty darn long to achieve such details. D.Heiße should probably stick a ‘Fragile’ sticker on this casing too.
