LG 21.5-inch IPS226V And 23-inch IPS236V IPS Monitors

TN (Twisted nematic) panels are widely used because they’re cheap to produce, but when you want quality displays, IPS (In-plane switching) panel is the way to go. That’s because they improve on the poor viewing angle and the poor colour reproduction of TN panels LG has introduced the LG 21.5-inch IPS226V and 23-inch IPS236V IPS monitors at a press conference in Japan. Measuring at just 19.5mm thick, LG’s new IPS displays boast a 6ms response time, a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution, a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 250 nits of brightness level, an HDMI port and a 178-degree viewing angles. The LG 21.5-inch IPS226V and 23-inch IPS236V will be launched in November and December 2010, respectively. Too bad, there is no info on pricing at this moment.
