Yes, the Halloween beach bash spooky party with red blood spilled all over is now a past-tense. We don’t care if you’ve lost your virginity or not, but too bad if you didn’t. It’s time to get home, and update your Xbox 360! Nobody cares about what candy you got last night, it’s time to get some fun killing action in the living room.

Some lucky people might have fooled around with the new dashboard of the Xbox Live, but not everyone. And it seemed that Microsoft is finally ready to let loose of everything, and go with a full-scale rollout for every Joe and Jane out there with an Xbox.

It seemed that Xbox Live subscribers are getting the above message in their inboxes right now, indicating that November 1st will bring a service update of some sort, after which point “You will notice a change to the layout of the Xbox LIVE Dashboard, a new color scheme, and new fonts being used.” That doesn’t necessarily sound like a cornucopia of Netflix Search, ESPN, Kinect and Zune Music to us, but it’s not like you have a choice — it’s mandatory, and you’ll lose all Xbox Live functionality unless you comply.
